Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- Author(s) is currently an undergraduate or graduate student at a Canadian university or college.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point Times New Roman font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
- The submission is a minimum of 2500 words and does not exceed 8500 words in total length (including the bibliography).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- All identifying information (name, school affliation, student number, etc.) have been removed from the submission.
- The submission abides by the academic integrity standards of York University.
- All material within the submission has been properly cited in according to the 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA).
- The submission takes place before the call for papers deadline.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The submission is the only submission made by this author, unless they are co-authors on another submission. To be clear, an individual author may not solo-author more than one submission. They may submit one solo-authored submission and one co-authored submission for an absolute maximum of two submissions. Similarly, they may not submit more than one co-authored submission with the same co-author(s). Note: This requirement is per issue (or per call for papers). Authors are welcome and encouraged to submit to multiple issues of this journal.
